Diversi anni fa – mi scrive Simona – Shimon Peres, in un’intervista, commentando Obama che si era rivolto in televisione al popolo e ai leader iraniani, rispose così:
It is surely better to be naïve than cynical. Both cause mistakes, but if I have to choose I’d rather make mistakes out of naivety than of cynicism. You asked me is Obama naïve? No, he is innocent. To be innocent does not mean that you do not see the danger. It means that you are not threatening anyone.
